Wednesday

6 months | Female | Istanbul, Turkey

Hi, I’m Wednesday 🐾

I was just five months old when my life changed forever. I was hit by a car and taken to a local shelter for surgery. My left front leg had to be amputated, and I was spayed at the same time. A few days later, once the surgery was done, I was taken back to the area where I’d been found — but the people there didn’t want me anymore.

They said they didn’t want the “responsibility” of a three-legged kitten. Instead of helping me, they kept me locked inside a carrier all day until someone finished work so they could dump me somewhere else. I was scared, confused, and already in pain.

When my rescuers heard what was going to happen, they couldn’t walk away. They took me in straight away — and it turned out I needed help urgently. My wound was badly infected, and I was also suffering from a respiratory infection. I spent a whole month at the vets, being cared for and slowly healing.

Now, I’m fully recovered and living safely with other rescued cats. I’m a very affectionate girl and absolutely love the company of other cats — their presence gives me confidence and comfort. I’m playful, gentle, and full of love, and I don’t let having three legs slow me down at all.

I’m looking for a loving indoor home where I can grow up feeling safe and cherished. I would do especially well in a home with other friendly cats and humans who are ready to give me the care and kindness I missed out on so early in life.
