Crookshanks

8 months | Male | Istanbul, Turkey

Hi, I’m Crookshanks 🐾

I was just a tiny kitten when someone noticed I was struggling to survive on the streets. When my rescuers found me, I was very unwell — my body was burning with a high fever, my ears were painfully infected, and breathing was hard because of a respiratory infection. I was also covered in fleas, and all the blood loss had left me weak and anaemic.

After two weeks of treatment, I was finally strong enough to leave the vets — but my recovery wasn’t over yet. Just one week later, I became sick again. My ear infection returned, and this time the problem was clear: a polyp growing inside my ear. I went straight back to the vets, where I had surgery to remove the polyp and was neutered at the same time.

It was clear that the streets were no place for a fragile kitten like me. Since then, I’ve been safe in care, where I can heal properly without constantly getting sick. I’m now feeling so much better — full of energy, curiosity, and love.

I’m an extremely affectionate boy who adores human attention. I love to play, explore, and make the most of every moment, and I get along very well with other cats too. I’d thrive in a home where there’s plenty of interaction, playtime, and companionship — whether that’s with other friendly cats or humans who enjoy an active, loving little shadow.

I’m looking for a safe, indoor home where I can continue to grow stronger and finally enjoy the carefree kittenhood I missed out on. I have so much love to give and can’t wait to share it with my forever family.
